My Review Of Flixbus.

Flixbus is a bus company that brings you around Europe from just 5 Euro. This is probably for the very short trips but trust me, these 5 euro seats are available. We however, were planning to take much longer journeys and so we bought the interflix 5 cities pass for 99 euros which is really worth it.

Our first trip with flixbus was a Paris to Madrid direct bus which was supposed to take 16 hours. If we bought this ticket as a single ticket, it would have cost us 35 euro per person. As they do not have adult and children fares, this price would have been the same for all 5 of us. So having seen this price, 5 cities at 99 euro meant that as long as each ticket was above 20 euro, it was worth using the interflix voucher. We used 1 for each person on this ticket.

So lets start with the review! The bus was late by 1 hour but this was fine as we were handled well at the bus station. Also, this was the only bus in our 5 trips that was delayed.

In the bus, we had internet, toilets, tables (around the size of the ones found on aeroplanes) and power sockets. The seats are also comfortable and can recline for sleeping.

As it was a free seating bus, the first thing I did was to save 5 seats for my family to sit near each other while my parents loaded the bags in the bag compartment under the bus. To safe guard our bags, my dad locked them up. We quickly settled down and our trip began from Paris to Madrid.

After about 5 hours and a few short stops, we finally reached the northern part of Spain which is where Spain and France share borders. To my surpise, it was snowing there! Fortunately for us, the bus had to make a stop at a petrol kiosk for around 20 minutes to refuel. My brother and I took this opportunity to step outside and play with the snow. I ran out of the bus at the first instance. Since I was down first, I hid behind a snow patch and when my brother arrived, I jumped out and threw a snow ball at him. The time came for us to board the bus and watch as we went along the snowy roads.

Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock. As time went by, I sat and spent this time reading, playing, sleeping, watching videos on board the comfortable bus. We finally reached Madrid after 16 hours as promised by Flixbus and that is where I found out that there was an unexpected snow storm in Madrid 2 days before we arrived.

All in all, Flixbus is a very good bus service with nice busses and comfortable seats. The drivers are also very polite and often help with any questions you have. The busses are clean. The toilets are also clean.

I would strongly recommend using Flixbus for your trip within Europe. Book your tickets at: www.flixbus.com
