From 10 to 9 to 8 to 7, everyone is getting murderer by an shape-shifting alien that looks like you. But the question is who? Originally released in 2018, Among Us blew up only recently in 2020 after popular Twitch streamers started streaming it, making it reach to more than 100 MILLION downloads on Android alone.

Currently, it is only available on PC, Android, IOS and it soon going to be available this year. On Android and IOS it is free but on PC it is currently priced at $5. Currently there isn’t any price tag on the Xbox edition yet!

How To play

The goal is simple; 8 people go around the space ship and repair the ships with tasks assigned to everyone!  While minding your own business and completing your tasks, Bam… one of the imposters have gotten you. To win, Either the imposters has to get everyone or the crew mates have to finish all their tasks or vote out the imposters if they are caught in the act.

Along with all the different characters colors, you can also customize them at a cost. Each item costs anywhere from SGD$1.49 to SGD$3.99 which I would say is pretty affordable considering most skins gave a hat included with it and some hats come in bundles of 8!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Maps

There are only 3 maps as of now and a fourth one is currently in the making. The three of them are:

  • The Skeld: A space ship
  • Mira Hq: A space base
  • Polus: A planet base

Currently, my favorite map is The Skeld. The first map I had played on. I have played it so much that I might even know the map in the back of my hand!

In conclusion, Among Us is a great game. BUT, the only downside is its numerous number of bugs such as the most common one I encounter which is the blank game bug. Every time I load on, I have to exit at least 3 times to get the lobby to show the games available. But despite that, I still continue to play it game after game because of the excitement of winning or loosing each game!

Amongst every other game out there,  Minecraft  is still one of the most popular game on the globe having about 125 million players out there. The game offers a infinite world of creativity where you can either build what ever your heart desires.       (Credit to WartleYt on reddit for the image)

Now, let me ask you a question. Do you own any electrical devices? If yes, chances are that it is able to run Minecraft. Whether its a laptop or a smartphone or even a console such as a PlayStation or Xbox, it most likely has the ability to run on your device.

 A Continuously Generating World

When you have just loaded up your Minecraft world for the very first time, you would probably be clueless of what to do and would just go onto Google or YouTube to find out what you would need to do to start surviving the very first few nights of your freshly loaded world. Either that or your natural instincts would kick in and you would go around and chop trees and kill every living thing that is in your way to survive the night and maybe even start the first of many cozy houses you would have!

Minecraft has many different generated structures which are worth exploring for their loot! For example, a desert temple has a chance of containing diamonds, one of the rarest items in the game! There also is different biomes from the Jungle biome to the Snowy Tundra biome. Minecraft even has an achievement for exploring every single biome and currently, there is 42 different biomes and there is still many more to come from any upcoming updates.

 

Conclusion

In conclusion, Minecraft is overall a great game. Whether you are looking to start your very own survival world or just a creative world to build something, the game is by far one of the best! It isn’t a game that  tells you what you have to do. Instead, you just do what you want to do!
