Instead, it means to finish off two tasks at the same time. For example, ” Jimmy killed two birds with one stone when he bought Ben’s birthday present while helping his mother shop for groceries! ”

2. ” Costs an arm and a leg” This idiom means that something is too expensive, you do not really have to go and sell your arm and leg to get that item!NEW IDIOM: to cost an arm and a leg Example: "The coat had cost him an arm  and a leg." | Idioms, English vocab, Idiomatic expressions For example “This diamond necklace costs an arm and a leg, I guess I will get it some other time.”

3. “In hot water” When someone is in “hot water” they are probably in trouble for something they did! For example “Jimmy forgot to do his homework twice this week! He sure is in hot water”
