My Visit to the Lourve

good morning everyone today I a going to write about The Louvre. Here are a few facts before I go on

  • The Louvre is also more famous than the Eiffel tower at 9.3 million visitors per year
  • It is one of the largest museums in the world
  • You cannot finish the Louvre in one day, it may take more than 3 months to finish it.
  • The Louvre cover is shaped as a pyramid
  • The Louvre cover was built in 1989 and is made of glass and metal
  • The second Louvre is called Louvre Abu Dhabi and it was established at 2017

Now it is my experience of the Louvre

After the train ride to the louvre we waited in line for more than a hour and finally we got our tickets to enter the museum and when we entered the first thing we did is rushed to the Mona Lisa and then to the Islamic art as those were the main two sights for us and then we walked around for around one hour just looking at the other marvellous art that the artists have made and then we exited the museum and then relaxed.

The famous twin tower in Paris beating even the Eiffel Tower with one of the most religious items, The Crown of Thorns of Jesus Christ with one of its thorns hidden in one of the bell towers! Here are some facts before I go on to my experience:

  • It has the crown of thorns
  • It has one of the thorns from the crown of thorns
  • The heaviest and largest bell in Notre Dame is known as the Emmanuel Bell and weighs about 28000 tons.
  • It was designed in Gothic Fashion
  • It was built between 1163 to 1345
  • The Notre Dame is one of the biggest churches in the world
  • It is still a functioning catholic church
  • It attracts about 13 million visitors every year
  • It is even more popular than the Eiffel Tower
  • The Notre dame is also named Notre dame de Paris ( Our lady of paris )

So, it was about nine o’clock in the morning when we got ready and left for the train to the station near Note Dame and walked towards the church. After standing in the queue for almost an hour we finally got to enter the church. The admission to Notre Dame is free but to climb up the tower there will be a fee of €8.50 and the crypt for €6.

We were supposed to join a free english guided tour of the church but we were told that the tour has started and the group might be outside. So we had to go out of the church and look for her. Sadly we could not find her and had to  ! Luckily the queue was shorter that time so we didn’t have to stand for long. When we got inside again and we found he english tour. After the english tour we scrolled around and saw a replica of the crown of thorns and also a replica of the Notre dame itself.

Leaning Tower Of Pisa

Hello Everyone. Today I am going to write about The leaning tower of Pisa which is in the City Pisa of course! Here are some facts:

  1. The Tower is also a bell tower of Pisa
  2. This tower of Pisa is famous as it is leaning on the side.
  3. This tower weights 14,500 tons
  4. this towers foundation is built on soft subsoil
  5.  the tower started leaning at the second storey
  6. The construction started at 1173 August and was completed at 1372
  7. The tower has eight stories
  8. There are 294 steps on the north side of the tower and 296 steps on the south side of the tower
  9. Germans used the tower as a lookout during World War II and the attackers did not attack the tower and cathedral as it was very beautiful just like ponte vecchio in Florence.

That is all the facts I know. Now lets move on to history.

In the early days Pisa was a popular resting place for people coming from Europe going to Jerusalem. The military fleet was also the most successful. In 1174, engineer Bonnano laid a marble foundation large enough to park about 16 Ferrari 328s in. But because there was a lot of water underground the foundation only was kept 10 feet in the ground. The tower was finally completed in 1372 almost 200 years after it began and it is still leaning. The Tower of Pisa is the churches bell tower and that is why it is named Bell tower of Pisa. The real identity of the person who built the leaning tower is still a mystery. Over the next 750 years or more , it became clear the tower was not only learning,  it was actually falling at a rate of a few millimeters per year.

The Colosseum

Good morning everyone.Today I am going to write about The Colosseum of Italy because I am actually in Rome!. This Colosseum was actually built by ten thousand Roman slaves by stone and concrete. This Colosseum was actually built between 72 AD and 80 AD(after Christ/ anno Donimi) by the Emperor Vespasian. The Colosseum is a amphitheater which means theater in the round. Did you know that the Colosseum is the largest amphitheater in the world.
Now I am going to write about the famous games in the amphitheater.

  1. Spiculus: Spiculus, another renowned gladiator of the First Century AD, enjoyed a close relationship with the evil Emperor Nero. Nero awarded him with palaces by Spiculus.
  2. Tetraites: This gladiator was originally discovered through graffiti found in 1817. This gladiator fought in style. He wielded a sword, a rectangle shield, a helmet, arm guards, and shin guards.
  3. Crixus : This gladiator is a Gallic gladiator. He is also the leader of the gladiator school. After escaping the gladiator school, he helped to fight in a slaves to help him defeat large armies by the roman.
  4. Spartacus: This gladiator was actually a Thracian soldier who had been captured and sold to become a slave. Lentulus Batiatus recognized him and he purchased him with then turning him into a gladiator.

That is some of the battles that I researched online.

Now  I am going to write about why the Colosseum is broken.  The Colosseum is broken  because of natural disasters like, earthquakes, Fire. There have also been people throughout the ages who have broken away pieces.
In the olden times the gladiators events that emperor makes sometimes has no entry fee an they give food like fruit for free. the tickets is made out of clay and the Colosseum has numbers on every gate and each ticket has the gate number that they have to go to see the gladiator battle and when there is no battle the Colosseum it is actually a meeting place to make friends or to buy stuff  just like a mall. But now it is museum. Did you know that people have waited their whole life just to get a ticket to see a gladiator battle. Did you know that in the place where there are gladiator battles, there is thirty-two trap doors and under the battle ground it is a back stage.

Some Attractions to visit in Florence

Today I am going to write about the city Florence. Florence is a city which is north Italy. Did you know Florence is the capital of Italy’s Tuscany region and is home to many masterpieces like Renaissance art and architectures.

I am going to write about what to visit in Florence in this post.

  • The Florence Cathedral
  • The Uffizi Gallery
  • Ponte Veccio
  • Palazzo Vecchio
  • Piazza della Signoria
  • The Palazzo Pitti

That is a few of the attractions that I found online. Did you know that most of this attracionns is in the Duomo of Florence.

But for this post I am only going to write about the attractions in the Duomo.

The Florence Cathedral is the main cathedral in Florence. In this cathedral I saw a big 24 hour roman clock and other passages on the walls also written in roman. On the top of the dome there was even a painting of heaven and hell. I think this paintings was painted by Donatello as he was very famous over there.

Did you know that my family waited in line for 45 minutes- 1 hour so we took turns to walk around the cathedral and my father, brother and sister went they saw a sculpture of Donatello with his mouth open with some more roman words below him. We even saw a Lind shop which sells my favorite milk chocolates.

Now I am going to write about Ponte Veccio is a bridge where there are many jewelry shops. and in one of the fountains there are lock on the fence to show the relationship of people and after they locked the lock they threw the key in to the river. Did you know in World War 2/World War II the bridge was so beautiful that they cannot destroy it.

This is all the things we saw two days ago and we are going to see more  today

From my house to Bobbio it is 1h 6min and is 55.6km and now from Piacenza it is 54min which is 44.8km

Hunchback Bridge/ Devils Bridge20171124_171506.jpg

First, I am going to write about the hunchback bridge. The Ponte Vecchio di Bobbio, along 273 meters, was named Ponte Gobbo for the particular irregular profile with 11 uneven bows between them and placed at different heights. There are three pairs of newsstands or crocini, over the bigger camps. In the two above the big arch , there are two statues depicting Saint Colombano and the Madonna dell’Auto.

The Abby

Now, I am going to write about the Abby in the town. This Abby was built somewhere around the 11 century. The bells on this church rings every half an hour which is thirty minutes. Places in London

Yesterday my family and I had a visit to Buckingham Palace, Big Ban, Westminster Abby and many more places. But When we were going to visit Buckingham palace we saw a few massive houses.20171119_095947.jpg

First I am going to write abou20171119_115516.jpgt the Buckingham Palace. This palace is located in the City of Westminster. At the palace there is also a guard changing ceremony at many times like on Sunday. This palace has been made since 1703  that is 314 years ago!

Now I will tell you about St James Park which is very near the palace. At this park there is a lot of park animals and many people having fun. The nice part is when the animals come on your leg or hands like birds come on your hands if you feed them or if there is food in your hand. Then the squirrels  which also climbs up your leg if you feed them or they will climb onto your hand if there is food that you fed them recently. In this park there is a playground,a path walk, a pond, where there will be animals like:

  • ducks
  • pigeon
  • Ravens
  • Crows
  • Squirrels
  • Rabbits(Rarely)
  • Swans
  • gulls

and many more animals. This park is actually one of the Royal Parks in London and closes at 12 am.

Next, I am going to write about Big Ben. Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the clock at the North of the Palace of Westminster in London and is usually referred to both the clock and the clock tower. The Height of this tower is 96 meters and has 11 floors. This is also located in the City Of Westminster.

Now, I am going to write about Westminster Abby. Westminster Abby is one of the worlds great church, with a history stretching back over a thousand years and an essential part of any trip to London. This church is 69 meters and is opened in 1090 which is 927 years ago. This church is just to the west of the Palace of Westminster.

All these places so far are actually walking distance!

Lastly, I am going to write about about Hyde Park which is not walking distance. Hyde Park is the biggest in London and is also the biggest of the four royal parks. This park has been established in 1637 and closes at 12 am just like St James Park. Right now at Hyde park there is a winter wonderland heme park with roller coasters and many more entertainments. Finally I am going  to write about the entertainments in London.

Our Visit To The National History Museum

Good morning everyone, Today I am going to write about my visit to the National History Museum in London.

Yesterday morning my family and I visited the National History Museum in London. This museum is located in town and is also around many other museums like the National Science Museum.

After waiting for 20 minutes in the queue we got a bit wet as it was drizzling. Finally when it was our turn to enter we were greeted by a few skeletons and a replica of a giraffe! These are the skeletons that we saw:T

    • The Great Blue Whale

20171118_122745.jpg

20171118_122906.jpg

20171118_123044.jpg

  • The Tall Giraffe
  • The Scary dinosaur
  • The Holy Mammoth
  • The Funny Chimpanze

These are some of the skeletons that I saw.

Then we saw all insect exhibit where I also learned that when something is moving slowly on a spider web it will be a spider and when some thing is moving fast it will be a insect trapped in the web.20171118_134417.jpg

When we went upstairs I saw a few ores and a section of crystals and minerals and when we went on we saw a exhibit of gem stones and there were diamonds and much more there was even a big jewel in a case surrounded in glass.

when we went even further we saw a replica of a monkey and also a baby kangaroo preserved in time.

When we went down we saw a few parts of the moon with other rare parts. Then we went up the escalator to enter the earth’s exhibit. Inside there were thoughts of what the earth will be like in 2020. Then we went the the exhibit of planets where my brother wrote his topic about the solar systems. When we walked further inside we saw how volcanoes erupt, how earthquakes are formed. Earthquakes are formed when the plates of the earth move.

finally we went to eat lunch an that was the end of the visit
